SV Sea Dragons,

 

The end of our season is quickly approaching, and we have several deadlines this week for the championship meet!  We need a final RSVP, t-shirt orders, and volunteer list by Friday, June 19, so please make sure to complete everything on time!

 

Meet Info - We are one of the biggest teams in the league, so we will compete in Division 1 on Saturday morning, June 27 against Sonoma Ranch, Boerne, and Alamo Heights.  The meet will be at the NISD Natatorium on Loop 1604 near the Bandera exit.  We will need to get there by 6:30, warm up is at 7:00, and the meet starts at 8:00.  More info is attached.

 

Meet Format - The meet will run in 2 pools at the same time with 11 & up in one pool, and 10 & under in a separate pool.  This makes the events go by much faster than they have at our dual meets because the 10 & under pool will skip the 11 & up events and the 11 & up pool will skip the 10 & under events. 

 

All Stars Qualification - There are a total of 25 teams and 4 divisions in our league.  The 1st place winner in each event from each division and the next 4 fastest times from any division qualify for All Stars.  We will not know the final qualifiers until all division championship meets are completed on Sunday.  The All Stars meet is on Tuesday, June 30 at the Wildhorse community pool.

 

Volunteers - There are still several volunteer spots open, and we have to let the league know who will be filling those roles by June 19, so please sign up today or let me know if you can help!!

 

T-shirts - The league is taking orders for championship meet t-shirts which are $10.  Please see the attached order form, and let me know if you would like to order one.  If so, please put a check or cash in an envelope with your name on it and put it in the Team Manager folder at practice.  Some of you ordered shirts during registration, and I will send a separate email confirming those that have already ordered and paid.

 

End of Season Party - We will have our awards ceremony and party at SVHS on Sunday, June 28 from 4:00-7:00.  We will do awards first, and every swimmer will receive an award.  I do not have anyone to coordinate the food for this event, so if you would like to do that, please let me know.  There is a place to RSVP on the website for the party, so please let us know if you can come or not!
