    Weekly News and Reminders

    Good evening, parents-

We have survived our first full week of summer league practice! We are excited to have over 120 swimmers this year, and with that comes a lot of personalities, and a lot of patience for all that is new. Many children have not been in the water since last summer and are overcoming nerves of being in the water again. Many are new to summer swim league and do not know anyone on the team. Not to mention, all of the kids are having to overcome the chilly temps of our pool as well! All of these things take time, and our coaches know this. Preston and his crew of coaches and volunteers are working hard to quickly develop relationships with each and every swimmer while at the same time teaching, coaching, and earning the kids' trust. Please be patient and encouraging to your child and the coaching staff. Allow time for your child to bond with the coaches, and allow the coaches to bond with your child. Consequently, as a reminder, parents are asked to stay outside the gated area and off the pool deck. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

As a reminder, D&J Sports will be at practice this Saturday, May 13, for families to purchase team suits and other swim equipment. Our team suit is required for meets, so if you are unable to order this weekend at practice, please be sure to visit D&J Sports at their location on Blanco near Loop 410 before our first meet.

If you have not yet logged on and put in your RSVP for our upcoming meets, please do so at your earliest convenience.

If anyone is interested in volunteering their time as a stroke and turn judge, please let me know! The training is only a quick 2-hour course either on May 13 or May 21.

    Go Sea Dragons!
