Hello Sea Dragons!

I apologize for tthe lengthiness of this email, but I want to make sure you have all of the information necessary for tomorrow's championship meet. I've done my best to consolidate all of the info emails I have received into this one, so please be sure to read everything carefully and view all attachments. 

LOCATION:

The meet will be held at Palo Alto Natatorium at 1400 W. Villaret Blvd., San Antonio, 78224. To get to the Natatorium, take 281to South San Antonio, then take SW Loop 410 and exit S. Zarzamora St. Turn left at Zarzamora taking the turnaround onto the SW Loop 410 frontage road.  Enter the Palo Alto campus at the back gate onto Camino Real and take a left onto Conception.  Conception will take you to parking lots 9 & 10 by the PAC Natatorium and lot 8 if needed.

ARRIVAL AND SEATING:

Judges, team reps, and coaches will be allowed in at 7:00 am to finish set-up for the meet. SWIMMERS AND PARENTS can enter the natatorium at 7:30. Look for our team banner on teh opposite side of the pool from the entrance. Remember: ALL SWIMMERS MUST SIT WITH THE TEAM DURING THE MEET. This meet runs extrememly fast, so swimmers need to be with the team so that volunteers can find them when it is time to line up for their events. Last year we had swimmers miss their events completely because they were unable to be found when it was time. Parents, you may sit near the team area or on the opposite side of the Natatorium in the stadium chairs. There is plenty of seating, and NO CHAIRS MAY BE SET UP INSIDE THE NATATORIUM. Warm-ups will be from 8:00-8:50 in lanes 5&6 of BOTH pools.  The meet starts at 9:00 am.

CONCESSIONS:

Three food trucks have been hired to provide concessions for the weekend meets, and will donate 10% of sales to the league. They are: Lone Star Burger, Maui Wowi (coffees, smoothies, etc.), and Daddy O’s Cocino (taco truck).  Trucks accept some credit cards and CASH.  Please bring 10s, 5s, and 1s…..nothing larger. The truck menus are attached for you to view and plan. BECAUSE THE TRUCKS HAVE BEEN HIRED BY THE LEAGUE, THERE WILL BE NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS ALLOWED IN THE NATATORIUM. There will be officers at the front that will not allow you to enter with outside food or drinks. 

PARENT VOLUNTEERS:

We still are in need of volunteers for tomorrow's meet. We cannot run the meet without our share of timers, ready bench volunteers, and line-up volunteers. Please sign up if you are available! The timer meeting for BOTH pools and BOTH sessions will be at 8:30 am. IF YOU ARE AN OFFICIAL FOR OUR TEAM, WE ARE COUNTING ON YOUR HELP WITH STROKE AND TURN OFFICIATING AND JUDGING, SO PLEASE BE READY TO HELP.

The entry sheet is attached so that you can view the events your child is swimming in. I will send the heat sheet in a separate email. I think it is too large to attach to this one. As always, please try to mark your child's arm/leg prior to arrival to make the morning run more smoothly.
