    Meet #1 Information

    Good morning!

    We are so excited for our first meet against the Schertz Stingrays. They have a nice pool and facility, and I know our kids are ready to compete. Unfortunately we will not have t-shirts ready for the first meet, but if you were part of our team last year, please wear your pink Sea Dragons shirt! 

    You are receiving this message because your swimmer is entered into 1 or more events for Monday's Meet. Please read this information carefully so that you are fully prepared.

    • Please arrive at Pickrell Park no later than 4:00. The address is 703 Oak St, Schertz, TX 78154
    • Teams will stage outside the fence around the pool. Parking is very limited around the pool but plenty of parking within a short walking distance. There will be a team drop off point for EZ ups and team equipment. See attachment for overhead view of pool.
    • Check in under the ORANGE TENT with the volunteers. If you do not check in with the volunteers at the orange tent by 4:30, we will assume you are absent and you will be removed from your events.The check in tent will also have a cap for your swimmer if you haven't picked one up yet.
    • Warm-ups begin at 4:40. Swimmers need to have caps and goggles on and be ready to warm up at 4:40. Coaches will call age groups for warm ups.
    • Meet begins at 5:30.
    • Concessions will be available. Kona Ice will be on site. You are also allowed to bring in your own drinks and snacks for your swimmers. There is no shade in the park. It will be very hot! Bring chairs, blankets, and EZ Up tents if you have them! Prepare with PLENTY of water! 
    • ATTACHMENTS: If you are new to us, or need a refresher, I have attached a document that helps you prepare for the meet. It lets you know what to bring and how to "mark up" your swimmer for their events. 
    • Also attached is the athlete check in sheet, which lists each child alphabetically and the events they are swimming. This will help you find your child on the heat sheet more easily. 
    • Lastly, the heat sheet is attached. You will use this to "mark up" your child before the meet (see preparing for a meet attachment) and also to follow along as the meet progresses.
    • If you signed up to volunteer for this meet, you will receive another separate reminder email shortly. WE ARE STILL SHORT A FEW VOLUNTEERS. IF YOU ARE ABLE, PLEASE LOG IN AND SIGN UP TO HELP. 

    Lastly, please be patient and prepared as we tackle our first meet. If you are a veteran parent, please help those that are new with questions, where to go and what to do. We are representing the Sea Dragons! We truly have the best parents, and I ask that everyone work together to make this a great meet. This includes cleaning up after the meet.
