Good evening, Sea Dragon families!

What a great meet we had on Saturday. The kids swam very well, tried new events, and our volunteers were amazing and helped the meet run so smoothly! THANK YOU to all that participated. The results are attached for those that would like to view them.

The CHAMPIONSHIP MEET has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 1. 

To prepare for this big meet, we will be changing the practice schedule to offer practice to all age groups every day. Beginning tomorrow, the practice schedule will be:

6U: 5-5:30

7/8: 5:30-6

9/10: 6-6:45

11up: 6:45-7:30

Finally, RSVPs for the Championship Meet are due Wednesday, June 21 at NOON. This is a HARD DEADLINE. Anyone that has not RSVP'd will NOT be entered into the championship meet. Please RSVP to let us know of your availability for this meet. Because the coaches have a hard deadline for entries, we MUST adhere to the deadline of Wednesday at noon. No exceptions will be made. 

I am including the rules we have received for entries for Champs meet. Due to the restricted timeline for the meet, there are several new rules we must follow regarding meet entries:

MSSL Championship Entry Requirements – 2023

• Events 1- 8 - Medley Relays and IM’s are deleted from the meet schedule. Meets will start with Event 9 – 6&U 25 Free.
• No-times are not acceptable. To be eligible to enter an event at the Championships, swimmers must have established an official time for an event by swimming it during the current dual meet season without disqualification. (No time trials times accepted.)
• Times must be entered as YARD times.
• Swimmers are not eligible to swim 25 yard free or backstroke if their official time is greater than 1:00 (one minute)
• Teams will be limited to 6 swimmers per event for the freestyle and backstroke events and 4 swimmers per event for breast and fly.
• Teams are limited to two teams each per event for the freestyle relays.
• If the number of entries or meet delays indicate that a session will run too long, MSSL management will eliminate some events to stay within the required time window.

All people and belongings must be out of the pool area at 3:00 pm.

Please be aware that COACHES will choose the entries for swimmers that will best suit the team. Due to the tight rules this year and entry restrictions, not all swimmers will be entered into events. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
