Championships Information
Good evening,
Championships is tomorrow! Thank you for reading this in its entirety and following all guideline set by the league. SV will represent as the most helpful, competitive, friendly team in the league, I'm sure!
PLEASE ARRIVE FOR CHECK-IN NO LATER THAN 7:30. Warm-ups will begin at 8:00, and the meet starts at 9:00. It is very hectic and crowded, so give yourself plenty of time to arrive and get settled.
THis meet will be run in TWO pools and will go fast, despite there being several teams competing. All medley relays will be run in the OLDER pool, at the diving end. After the medley relays, the 10& under swimmers will swim in the younger pool, including the freestyle relays at the end. All 11 & up swimmers will swim in the older pool.
Because this meet is run in two pools and runs quickly, ALL SWIMMERS MUST SIT WITH THE TEAM FOR THE ENTIRE MEET. This is critical so that volunteers can find swimmers for their events. In the past, we have had kids miss their events due to being with their parents away from the team. Palo Alto is a long drive for your kiddo to miss their event! Parents and spectators have ample seating around both pools, but SWIMMERS MUST SIT IN THE TEAM AREA!!!
THE HEAT SHEET IS ATTACHED. If you do not print one tonight, they will be available for sale for $5 at the meet. The team will not supply any or have any extra copies. PLEASE PRINT AT HOME!
When you arrive, look for our team banner. CHECK IN YOUR SWIMMER WITH ME, SANDIE SCHNEIDER.
Rules form the league:
No Chairs are allowed to be brought in. There is ample seating available in the natatorium.
Only food from the food trucks outside may be eaten in the natatorium. There will not be a separate concession stand. NO OUTSIDE COOLERS, BAGS, ICE CHESTS, FOOD OR BEVERAGES OF ANY KIND WILL BE PERMITTED INSIDE, UNLESS PURCHASED FROM THE FOOD TRUCKS.
Please abide by these rules. They are set by the league.
Lastly, I will be sending a separate email to volunteers in about an hour. Volunteers positions were assigned by the league. Our system chose the lucky people that would fill those positions based on whether or not your family had fulfilled their commitment for volunteering, and then filled in with random choice. We appreciate everyone that was chosen to represent us and thank you for your time.
