Happy Thursday, Sea Dragons Parents!

We are so excited to kickoff our 2019 season on Monday. We have a very large number of swimmers this year, so our pool will be crowded, and our team will be AWESOME! Because of this increase in numbers, we will not be able to offer practice all 5 days to all age groups, like last year. The practice schedule is attached. We apologize for any inconvenience this causes, but safety in the pool is always our number one priority. Please talk with us if you have any scheduling difficulties, and we will do our best to work with your family.

Plan to arrive a few minutes early to practice, if possible, to check in, get goggles, etc. and be ready to enter the pool area at 4:30. We practice at the SVHS pool, which is located between the main entrance and the football stadium. Parking is available near the pool area.

What to bring:

Parents are not allowed inside the gated pool area, and there is no seating outside, so parents may want to bring a chair. Swimmers will need a suit, goggles, and a towel for practice. One-piece suits for girls and swim jammers or briefs for boys are preferred. These will be required for meets, and will be available for purchase at a later date (see below), so they are not necessary for the first day of practice. We are outside, so tinted goggles may be helpful, but are not required. Don't forget to apply your sunscreen!

When you arrive:

Check in with me (Sandie Schneider) under the POOL HOUSE sign. At this time, you will need to confirm your swimmer's shirt size, and volunteer commitments. Swimmers will be called to the pool deck by Coach Kari when practice begins.

Monday, May 7- First day of practice

Monday, May 13- Swim Freak will at the pool (no practice) from 4-6 pm to sell team suits and other gear. At this time, you can try on suits for fit and order the new 2019 team suit. Suits are required for meets, so please stop by at any time during this window. If you cannot attend, you will have to go to Swim Freak’s Thousand Oaks location to order your suit. Payment will be expected at the pool on this day. 

RULES CLINICS FOR STROKE AND TURN JUDGES & OFFICIALS

Those of you that have volunteered to be a stroke and turn judge or official, THANK YOU! It is required that you attend ONE of the following trainings. Please plan accordingly.
Trainings are held at the Jewish Community Center (12500 NW Military HWY, San Antonio 78231) in rooms 227-229.
