Week 2 Updates- PICTURES, TSHIRTS, SUITS, AND MORE
Good afternoon Sea Dragon parents!
I have had several questions this week, plus several new families have just registered, so I apologize AGAIN for the lengthiness, but I am trying my best to keep everyone up to date.
TEAM SUITS:
If you missed the suits sales this past Saturday, or registered late and didn't know about it, team suits are still available at D&J Sports for purchase. They are in stock and available, so besides the long haul to get there (they are located at Blanco Rd & 410), it should be simple to still get a suit. As a reminder, team suits are required for meets. You MAY wear a suit from a previous year, but it needs to be a previous TEAM suit.
PICTURES:
Picture Day is TOMORROW during practice. Younger groups will take individual pictures starting at 4:30. The group picture will be taken at 5:00. Then older groups will take individuals afterward. The picture order form is attached in case you did not receive one at practice. I will also have extras tomorrow. For pictures, swimmers should wear their TEAM SUIT. If you do not have one yet, we prefer a navy, blue or black suit that coordinates.
T-SHIRTS:
We have extended the deadline for t-shirt orders until TOMORROW, May 17. I have attached the order form in case you need another one. We must have payment with the order form NO LATER than tomorrow.
VOLUNTEERS:
If you have a high schooler that volunteers during practice, we MUST have a background check form filled out to submit to the league. These are due by THURSDAY. If you need a form for your helper, I've attached the blank form.
The last training for STROKE & TURN JUDGES is THIS Saturday. So far, we have only had 1 parent volunteer for this slot. We need at least 6 so that judges do not have to work the entire meet, every meet. We are required to provide 3 judges for every met, home and away. The training is 2 hours of your Saturday, free, and you get the best seat in the house at meets. Please consider this as your volunteer position.
Ok, I think that is all. As always, feel free to email or text with questions. May is busy for everyone, but I will do my best to get back to you as quickly as I can.
